Ibhar assisted solutions for CQP to provide support for hospitals to get accredited by NABH

Consortium of Accredited Healthcare Organisations (CAHO) has identified Kalyani Kidney Care Centre, Erode, as a Centre for Quality Promotion (CQP) to provide support for hospitals to get accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers.

As a platform for all accredited hospitals to promote and continuously improve the quality and safety of healthcare services, CAHO has, towards enabling hospitals to secure NABH accreditation that is deemed a credible testimony of a healthcare organisation’s capability to provide safer patient care, chosen Kalyani Kidney Care, Erode, to function as CQP, Alexander Thomas, president of CAHO, said. Out of over 50000 hospitals in the country, those with NABH logo was well below 500, he said, adding that there was a long way to go. The NABH has started a Pre Accreditation Entry Level Certification to help hospitals to achieve accreditation in a phased manner through CQPs, Dr, Vijay Agarwal, Secretary General – CAHO, said. Under the guidance of NABH and Quality Council of India (QCI), CAHO has trained over 150 professionals with the ability to coach and train others through its CPQIH (Certified Professionals for Quality Implementation in Hospitals) programme, Dr. Agarwal said. About 30 hospitals participated in the Initial Implementation Support Programme. Receiving the certificate on the occasion, CEO of Kalyani Kidney Care Centre Dr. Prabhakar, a leading urologist specialising in laser kidney stone treatment, said other hospitals will be mentored through Ibhar technology-assisted solutions.
